Happy Memorial Day and a thank you for all the sacrifices the men and women of the Armed Forces make every day, to those who have served and especially to those who have died protecting this wonderful country.

For this Memorial Day weekend, here is an entryway inspiration board in red, white, and blue Chinoiserie. This would be perfect for a beach house in Nantucket, but I love this combination anywhere. I have used a Blue Dot Strut console in Watermelon, a pair of ginger jars from Charlotte & Ivy, a navy blue pagoda mirror, a pair of Dana Gibson ikat lamps, a pair of Charles Edwards pagoda bell lanterns, a pair of antique blanc de Chine Italian greyhounds, and a blue and white striped rug.

Red, white, and blue combines so well with Chinoiserie - think white blanc de Chine, blue and white Chinese porcelain, and Chinese red lacquer. I have a Pinterest board filled with red, white, and blue rooms here. Here is a sampling.
