What room couldn't use a pop of Chinese red Chinoiserie? Perhaps you have a great vintage Chinoiserie piece from Craigslist, eBay, Etsy, or a flea market? Spray paint it red for a wonderful focal point in any room. I especially like Rustoleum Lacquer in Chinese Red. My Christmas decorating posts to date -

I love this whimsical and colorful Christmas tree from Tobi Fairley. My daughter is planning a Christmas tree this year in these colors with Chinoiserie touches and I sent her this photo for inspiration. Monkeys and ornaments in pink, orange, green, and turquoise are a wonderful combination. Here are my holiday decorating posts to date. Today, two wonderful ideas from Miles Redd. In the photo above, he has trimmed celadon green silk curtains with pagoda valances in two shades of red silk for a trompe l'oeil effect. Below, a red tablecloth, single red roses, red wine and your Chinoiserie china and you have a stunning Christmas table.
