This is Halloween (Halloween, HALLOWEEN)

 

Happy happy Halloween ladies and gentleman! 

Last night when I got off the tube, the sky was full of fast moving, orange-tinged clouds against a black back drop - it probably/definitely was London pollution but it looked incredible and reminded me of how much I love this time of year. Cold, crisp, dry and with Autumn leaves in abundance, it's my favourite season.

Above is an illustration from one of my favourite children's book - The Thorn Witch, I always wanted the spider costume for Halloween - maybe if I actually have plans next year I'll try to make it. (In an aside, when trying to locate that image I discovered the illustrators blog, which is wildly exciting. I will be all over that once I've finished writing this)
